We will first need investors. We have made a prototype. The water in the fish tank imitates the seawater. The floating object acts as the mechanical buoy which oscillates in an up and down motion when waves are generated in the water by hand. This motion moves the piston kept in the cylinder. When the psiton moves up, the water is drawn from the tank into the cylinder. When the buoy ( toy) pushes the piston down, the piston compresses the water inside the cylinder, increasing its pressure. This pressurized water is passed into a secondary container with a carbon filter(replacing reverse osmosis membrane). Thus producing clean water.
This is exactly how our solution will work.

Fund our innovation where we make oceans a sustainable source of freshwater, which harnesses wave energy and produces fresh water from seawater. It is based on reverse osmosis. We plan to provide fresh water to coastal areas without damaging the environment. A mechanical buoy harnesses wave energy and transfers water to a pump which is then sent to a desalination unit. It is allowed to pass through a reverse osmosis membrane. The brine produced is healthy and does not affect marine life. The water intake is such that it does not cause any damge to the marine life. This innovation is being developed by students of AMITY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL NOIDA.
Why Jal Seva
Our innovative solution offers multiple advantages: it operates without electricity, produces healthy brine, and actively promotes marine life while preserving the marine ecosystem. Unlike traditional methods, it does not require land or emit greenhouse gases, making it environmentally sustainable. Additionally, it is cost-effective and provides a reliable source of freshwater, ensuring minimal environmental impact and maximum efficiency.
