An Automated Robotic Dung Cleaner
The Automated Robotic Dung Cleaner is a smart, labour-saving innovation designed to transform hygiene and daily operations in cattle sheds. Today, farmers spend significant time and effort manually cleaning sheds—a physically demanding task that often leads to back pain, fatigue, and inconsistent cleaning. When cleaning is delayed, waste accumulates, creating foul odors, attracting flies and pests, and increasing slip hazards for both farmers and animals.
This innovation introduces a compact, autonomous robot that moves through the shed, detects dung, collects it efficiently, and disposes of it in a designated area—all without manual intervention. Equipped with sensors, a scraper-collection mechanism, and a simple navigation system, the robot ensures the shed remains clean throughout the day. This leads to better cattle health, improved milk hygiene, safer working conditions, and reduced labour costs.
Designed to be affordable, user-friendly, and suitable for small and large dairy farms, this solution addresses a long-standing challenge with modern, practical technology. By automating one of the most tiresome tasks in dairy farming, the robotic dung cleaner empowers farmers to focus more on productivity and animal care, while maintaining a cleaner, healthier environment.
Description
Help Us Build an Automated Robotic Dung Cleaner for Farmers
Cleaning cattle sheds is one of the toughest daily tasks for dairy farmers. It causes severe back pain, consumes valuable time, and when delayed, leads to waste buildup, foul odor, pests, and dangerous slip risks. To solve this, we are developing an automated robotic dung-cleaning system that can collect and dispose of waste autonomously—reducing labour, improving hygiene, and ensuring a safer environment for both farmers and cattle.
We are seeking funding support to develop our first working prototype and test it with real farmers. Your contribution will help bring this much-needed innovation to life and directly improve the health, safety, and productivity of rural communities.
