Description

EcoNova is an advanced smart dustbin designed to automate waste segregation and promote cleaner, more sustainable living. At its core, EcoNova is powered by an Arduino Uno, which coordinates all the components to ensure smooth and intelligent operation. An ultrasonic sensor detects the presence of a user or any approaching waste, allowing the lid to open automatically without requiring touch, making the system hygienic and user-friendly.

As the waste enters, a moisture sensor quickly analyzes its moisture content to determine whether it belongs to the wet or dry category. Based on this real-time reading, the Arduino activates a servo motor, which rotates a divider flap inside the dustbin. This flap guides the waste accurately into either the wet or dry compartment, ensuring proper segregation at the very first step.

EcoNova not only simplifies waste disposal but also significantly improves the efficiency of recycling and waste management.
