Our project aims in growing rhizobium bacteria in non legumes to reduce the nitrogen fertilizer uses. This involves genetic engineering techniques i.e., it involves genetic modification of certain genes from the legumes to the non legumes which enables the growth of rhizobium bacteria in non legumes. This type of gene transfer can made with help of agrobacterium mediated process.
