Amaurotic Augmented Reailty

Description

There are more than one billion visually impaired people in the world, and many of them face daily challenges while identifying objects around them. To help solve this problem, we created Amaurotic Augmented Reality, an affordable assistive device that uses object detection to guide visually impaired users.

Our device is built using simple components like a Raspberry Pi, camera module, screen, and jumper wires. The camera captures the surroundings and identifies the objects in front of the user in real time. This makes the device practical, helpful, and easy to use.

While common smart blind sticks usually cost ₹15,000–20,000, our solution costs only ₹9,000, making it much more affordable. Amaurotic Augmented Reality aims to give visually impaired people more safety, independence, and confidence in their daily lives.
