Water wastage and contamination are major issues in modern urban areas.
Leaks in underground pipelines often go undetected, leading to huge losses. Additionally, water quality may deteriorate unnoticed.
Description
This project presents a Water Flow Rate and pH Monitoring System that uses sensors, a microcontroller, and a web interface to continuously track both parameters and generate alerts when necessary.
- Water Flow Measurement:
The flow sensor generates pulses proportional to the rate of water flow. The NodeMCU reads these pulses and calculates the flow rate in liters per minute (L/min).
If the value falls below 7 L/min, the buzzer activates to alert the user. - pH Monitoring:
The pH sensor continuously measures water quality. The readings are analog values converted by the NodeMCU into a pH value (0–14 scale).
A pH range of 6.5 to 8.5 indicates safe water. - Data Transmission and Display:
The NodeMCU sends both parameters (Flow Rate and pH) to a web server or dashboard via Wi-Fi.
The user can view the data remotely on any connected device. - Alert Mechanism:
When abnormal readings are detected, the buzzer sounds, and optionally, a notification can be sent through the web interface or mobile app.
