Chromawrap – The bioplastic that can talk back

Description

Chromawrap is a biodegradable packaging film made from agar and glycerol, designed to replace single-use plastics and simultaneously warn users of food spoilage. Encapsulated turmeric and anthocyanin beads as well the the one which has anthocyanin indicator in the bioplastic shift colour when food releases acidic or alkaline vapours. The idea tackles two global concerns at once: plastic pollution and food safety.
