Description

FLOAT is a fully autonomous off-grid desalination system that desalinates ocean water using our very own filtration system. It uses three types of renewable sources of energy to sustain the desalination system and its own function:- Solar Panels to generate the energy from the sun, Tidal turbines to generate the energy from horizontal wave motion and Piston Hydraulic system to generate energy from the vertical wave motion of the ocean. We can control and monitor FLOAT from anywhere in the world using its own webapp. FLOAT stores the saltwater in a condensed form which minimizes the wastage to 10%. FLOAT generates excess energy after fulfilling its own energy requirement. That energy can be sold along with the desalinated water to recoup the original cost of making FLOAT, after recouping the original cost we can help drought stricken areas with clean water and energy for free.
