In India, good doctors lack incentive to go to rural area, and on an average, villagers may have to travel up to 50 Km to get to their nearest hospital. Grameen Clinic is a revolutionary system to solve the problem of lack of qualified doctors in rural India. It is a STD-Booth size clinic operated by a technician , which consists of a device called “The Vital Call” which is basically a vital monitor with a video calling system. This can connect the rural residents to the doctors in hospitals, the access to vitals enabling accurate medical diagnosis, as the doctor is able to see the patient’s vitals.
