Instead of the farmers , working outside all day in the heat . Our project would make their work easier . With a soil moisture sensor it would monitor the moisture levels , based on the received data , an LED light would turn on indicating the fields need watering . In the top end models , based on the readings an automatic irrigation system would turn on . For motion we have an ultrasonic sensor , and a humidity sensor , so that our tractor gets to know about the humidity levels , and irrigates accordingly.
This innovation is being developed by students of Bluebells School International, New Delhi.
Every year , numerous farmers die ,because of heat related illnesses like heat strokes , dehydration etc . Although ,we can find some cases on the internet ,but many are still buried with the soul of that poor farmer .
The long hours spent on fields, often in temperatures exceeding 40°C,make it very difficult .
Farming, an occupation that feeds the nation, is no less than a daily challenge for these farmers, who work tirelessly under the scorching sun
