HEAT ALARM SENSOR

A **heat alarm sensor** is a specialized fire-safety device designed to detect dangerous levels of heat or sudden increases in temperature that may indicate the early stages of a fire. Unlike traditional smoke detectors, which sense airborne particles, heat alarm sensors rely on thermal detection technology, making them particularly effective in environments where smoke, dust, or steam could cause frequent false alarms. Commonly installed in kitchens, boiler rooms, garages, workshops, and laundry areas, these sensors provide a reliable layer of protection in spaces where smoke detectors may not perform optimally. Heat alarm sensors typically operate using one of two detection principles: **fixed temperature detection**, which triggers an alarm when the ambient temperature exceeds a set threshold (often around 135°F or 57°C), and **rate-of-rise detection**, which responds when the temperature increases rapidly over a short period of time. Some advanced models combine both methods.
