HYDROMATE – Hydroponic Sensor
₹2,000.00
A “Hydroponic Sensor System” which includes:
Hardware sensors measuring: pH, EC / TDS (nutrient concentration), water
temperature, dissolved oxygen, ambient air temperature, humidity, water level.
Controller (microcontroller or small embedded board, e.g. ESP32, Arduino, etc.) to read
these sensors, process data, trigger alerts or control actuators (e.g. pumps to adjust
nutrients or pH, water pumps, aerators).
Communication / Interface: IoT-enabled: sends data to a cloud or local server;
mobile/web dashboard/app for real-time viewing; alerting (SMS / app notifications) when
parameters deviate.
Power supply: Should be reliable, possibly with options for solar / backup battery,
depending on location.
Description
How It Solves the Problem
Continuous monitoring avoids delays: The system continuously (or at frequent
intervals) reads key parameters, so changes (e.g. pH drift, nutrient deficiency) can be
detected early.
Automatic alerts & control reduces human error: When a value goes out of range, the
system can alert the farmer or even do corrective action (e.g. pump in buffer to adjust pH,
add nutrients).
Lower labour: Once set up, less manual checking is needed. This saves time and cost.
Better yields / reduced losses: Stable environmental and nutrient conditions mean
healthier plants, less disease, more consistent output.
Accessibility: By making the hardware affordable and using commonly available parts
(e.g. low-cost sensors, open-source microcontrollers), you can allow small / medium
scale growers to adopt.
Remote & scalable: With IoT, multiple farms or larger facilities can be monitored from
anywhere. Useful in places where manpower is limited or distances are large.
Why It Is the Best Alternative
Compared to existing solutions, this proposed system could have advantages:
1. Continuous, Real-Time Monitoring
Unlike manual testing (which is done occasionally), this system provides continuous monitoring
of key hydroponic parameters: pH, EC (nutrient concentration), water temperature, humidity, etc.
2. IoT-Based Remote Access
The sensor system connects to a cloud platform or mobile app, allowing growers to monitor their
setup remotely — from a smartphone or computer.
3. Smart Alerts and Automation
Sends real-time alerts (SMS, app notification, email) when parameters go out of range.
4. Open & Modular Architecture
Easily customizable for different plant types or climates.
5. Easy Maintenance & Calibration
Uses replaceable probes and modular design, allowing easy maintenance.
Calibration procedures are simplified and guided via app or dashboard.
