Description

A battery-powered stretcher that uses a hydraulic auto-lift (Pascal’s-law) system and a motorized rotating upper platform to raise, rotate and transfer a patient smoothly and safely with minimal manual effort.

• Hydraulic lift (Pascal’s law): A compact hydraulic pump pushes fluid from a reservoir into cylinders. Because pressure transmits equally in the fluid (Pascal’s law), a small force at the pump creates a larger lifting force at the main lift cylinder, raising the stretcher platform smoothly and controllably.
• Rotating upper module: The patient lies on an upper frame (mattress deck) mounted on a powered swivel bearing. A low-speed electric motor with gearbox rotates the deck up to a selectable angle (e.g., 0°–180°) to gently slide/turn the patient for lateral transfers or repositioning.
• Coordinated motion: Lift and rotation can be linked by the control system so the deck lifts, then rotates, then lowers in an automated sequence to shift the patient without lifting caregivers or causing shear on the patient.
