THE CORE IDEA

Our initiative upgrades India’s drainage systems to prevent waterlogging, reduce disease, and improve sanitation. Only ~20% of Indian cities have adequate drainage, current systems can’t handle modern rainfall, and waterlogged areas breed disease. We’re creating sustainable, long-term infrastructure that protects public health while being environmentally responsible.

OUR SOLUTION: Biodegradable Drainage Panels

We’ve designed a core-shell architecture:

Core Layer – PHA Auxetic Lattice

• Biodegradable polymer with special geometric pattern
• Becomes stronger under pressure
• Provides structural strength while remaining eco-friendly

Shell Layer – Hydrophobic Bio-Wax Coating

• Natural water-resistant protective layer
• Extends functional life
• Environmentally safe throughout lifecycle

Why it works: Strong during use, biodegradable at end-of-life. Unlike traditional plastic (400+ years), our panels safely return to nature without microplastic pollution.

HOW IT WORKS

Installation: Biodegradable panels replace existing drainage infrastructure

During Operation:

• Water flows through system at high capacity
• Auxetic lattice activates under pressure, preventing failure
• Rapid drainage prevents waterlogging and stagnant water
• No breeding grounds for mosquitoes

End-of-Life (15-20 years):

• PHA safely breaks down without harmful microplastics
