Description
Smart Bio Algae Reactor is designed to generate up to 70% more oxygen than regular plants. It requires only a one-time setup, and the algae naturally grow a little every day — eventually doubling over time. Our concept uses waste plastic bottles filled with Spirulina culture, all connected through pipes. These bottles are arranged to form an entire green wall, with small openings at the top that continuously release oxygen, 24 hours a day.
An air pump circulates air through all the bottles, while light panels ensure proper photosynthesis so the algae keep growing. The entire system is powered by a solar panel, making it completely energy-efficient and eco-friendly.
We’ve also integrated a Telegram bot using the ESP8266 microcontroller, which updates us on the health of the algae, along with humidity and temperature levels. We are currently working on adding real-time oxygen output monitoring. For the prototype, we have installed two four-digit displays to show these readings.
