• “Smart Shoes for the Blind and Differently Abled are innovative shoes designed to help visually impaired individuals move safely. Made from TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) for durability and comfort, these shoes feature GPS tracking, water detection, an SOS button for emergency SMS alerts, and live video streaming to caregivers. With a rechargeable battery, they aim to enhance safety and independence for the blind and differently abled.

The project goals include helping blind people find their way, detecting water/slippery surfaces, sending location via SMS in emergencies, streaming live video to caregivers, and using a rechargeable battery. Main parts include Arduino Nano/ESP32, GPS Module, GSM Module, water sensor, ESP32-CAM, push button for SOS, and a buzzer/vibration motor for alerts.

Testing showed GPS accuracy within 3-5 meters, SMS sent in 3-5 seconds, and the water sensor works correctly 95% of the time. The shoes can help blind/visually impaired people walk safely, track elderly individuals, and are useful in rescue/security situations. Possible improvements include adding obstacle sensors, voice alerts, better communication methods, making shoes waterproof, and using a bigger battery.”
