Problem statement:
As a result of home water filtration devices, millions of litres of water are wasted every day. One prevalent problem with waste water is overwatering the plants with irregular water scheduling.
Solution:
Our integrated solution not only collects and reuses wastewater from residential water purifiers but also intelligently distributes it to household plants according to their moisture needs. Included in our project are the following features:
- Water capture – To ensure that the water meets the requirements for plant irrigation, waste water from water purifiers is filtered and treated.
- Moisture detection – The moisture sensor is used by the smart watering hub to communicate and continuously check the soil moisture level.
- Intelligent irrigation – It uses algorithms to evaluate moisture sensor data in real time and calculate the best timing and amount of water to provide each plant, avoiding both under and overwatering.
