BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) is designed to bridge this critical gap. It is a smart energy storage solution that captures surplus electricity from renewable sources or the power grid when it is easily available and supplies it later during peak demand or power outages. The system integrates advanced battery technology with a Battery Management System, inverter-converter units, and built-in safety mechanisms. A functional prototype/model of BESS has already been developed and tested as a proof-of-concept. It demonstrates the core principles of energy storage, battery safety management, and power delivery. This prototype serves as a strong foundation for further optimization, real-world testing, and expansion into larger energy storage applications.
