Energy Guard is a simple, affordable IoT system designed to reduce the massive everyday problem of electricity wastage. In India, nearly 20–25% of electricity is wasted daily because fans, lights, and appliances are forgotten and left ON.

Energy Guard helps families, small shops, students, office users, and small businesses track their electricity consumption in real time, receive alerts, and avoid unnecessary wastage.

Live Monitoring

  • Built using PZEM-004T Energy Meter + CT Clamp

  • Shows Voltage, Current, Power (Watts), Units (kWh) in real time on a mobile dashboard.

Safe & Easy Setup

  • CT clamp measures current without cutting the wire

  • Anyone can install—safe for homes and shops.

Smart Alerts

  • NodeMCU ESP8266 sends data to the app via WiFi

  • Alerts when usage is too high

  • Alerts when an appliance is left ON too long

Since the prototype is ready, we now need funds to:

  • Casing + Switches – ₹200–₹300
