Description

PrepGPT was born from my personal experience navigating intense academic pressure, limited access to individualized guidance, and the mental strain of high-stakes examinations. I observed that many students struggle not due to a lack of capability, but because they lack affordable, adaptive, and patient academic support that aligns with their learning pace and emotional needs.

PrepGPT is an AI-powered educational assistant built using Large Language Models (LLMs) combined with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques. This architecture allows the system to retrieve verified, curriculum-aligned content from curated academic sources and generate clear, step-by-step explanations tailored to individual learning styles. By grounding responses in retrieved material, PrepGPT minimizes hallucinations and ensures accuracy while maintaining natural, conversational explanations.

The platform incorporates adaptive prompting and contextual memory, enabling it to track a student’s misunderstandings over time and refine explanations accordingly. Rather than promoting rote memorization, PrepGPT emphasizes conceptual clarity, logical reasoning, and stress-free learning. The system is designed to respond empathetically, encouraging students to ask questions without fear or hesitation—an essential factor in reducing exam anxiety.

PrepGPT has progressed through rigorous research, development, and validation phases and was recognized nationally, reaching the Grand Finale of the School Youth Ideathon at IIT Delhi. However, transforming research into real-world impact requires continued technical refinement and scalability.

Funds raised through this initiative will support expanding the RAG knowledge base, improving model optimization, enhancing performance across devices, and conducting structured pilot testing with students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. My long-term vision is to democratize high-quality education by ensuring that personalized academic support is accessible regardless of financial limitations.
