Suryakalah is an autonomous, two-stage system providing safe drinking water using sustainable energy.

How it Works:

  1. Primary Power (Solar Thermal): The system first uses solar heating and thermal storage to raise water temperature to pasteurization levels ($approx 65^{circ}text{C}$), which requires zero battery power.

  2. Backup Power (UV-C LED): When sunlight is low (LDR sensor detects low light), the system automatically switches to a low-power UV-C LED sterilizer for effective disinfection. The microcontroller (Arduino) and sensors run on a small, rechargeable Li-ion battery.

  3. Safety First: The entire system includes non-negotiable safety features, including a sealed UV chamber and a manual kill switch, as UV-C light is dangerous to eyes and skin.
