Blind Turn Blinker

Blind Turn Blinker is a smart road-safety device that warns drivers about oncoming vehicles at dangerous blind turns. It is a 4-ft pole with a red blinker on top that detects vehicles approaching using 2 automotive grade radars. As the vehicles move closer to each other the frequency of the blinking increases. This warns both the drivers in real time. It is easy to install, works in all weather conditions and is fail safe. Additionally, one of its models also has a landslide sensor to give early alerts in hilly areas. In this way, Blind Turn Blinker makes roads safer for everyone by giving early and real-time warnings.

Description

Blind turns on hilly terrains, highways, and rural roads are among the most dangerous points for drivers. Head-on collisions at these curves are sudden, offer almost no reaction time, and often turn fatal. Road-safety audits across India consistently mark sharp and hidden curves as accident black spots because drivers enter them without visibility or advance warning. Even a small misjudgment on a blind turn can result in a severe crash.

Existing solutions like convex mirrors offer little real protection. Drivers must shift their focus away from the road and look hard at the mirror, which reflects not just vehicles but the entire surroundings, making it difficult to spot an oncoming vehicle instantly. These mirrors fog up, fade, and are largely ignored, providing no dependable real-time alert.

The Blind Turn Blinker solves this problem through a simple, automatic, and highly visible early-warning system. Installed on the outer edge of a blind curve, it uses dual automotive-grade radar sensors to detect approaching vehicles from both directions. When a vehicle is detected, the red blinker activates, and its blinking speed increases as vehicles come closer—giving clear, intuitive warnings without any driver effort.

The system is built for reliability. If any component malfunctions, it sends a text message to the admin and maintenance team specifying which blinker and which part is faulty. Instead of switching off, it enters a steady red mode, ensuring the turn remains safely marked until repairs are done.

The Blind Turn Blinker comes in three variants: a solar-powered model for remote roads, a wired model for mountain stretches with multiple consecutive curves, and a landslide-sensor model that detects soil instability and activates nearby blinkers to create an area-wide warning zone.

With precise radar sensing, fault-proof operation, and all-weather visibility, the Blind Turn Blinker makes blind curves consistently and predictably safe.
